AIKO Partners with Solveo Energies for Sainte Elyx Solar PV Project in Garonne - SolarStar

AIKO has announced a strategic partnership with Solveo Energies to supply photovoltaic modules for the solar project in the municipality of Saint-Élix-le-Château, located in the center of Garonne, in the Occitanie region (43.269850°N, 1.148214°E). AIKO will supply its high-performance STELLAR 640W/650W Bi-Glass/Bifacial photovoltaic modules, utilizing advanced All Back Contact technology for this project.

The project, scheduled to commence operations on July 9, 2025, is located on the site of an old alluvial quarry, which includes both backfilled land and a body of water. The solar park consists of two types of photovoltaic installations on the same site: a floating installation with a capacity of 11.7 MWp and a ground-mounted installation with a capacity of 4.2 MWp. With a total capacity of 15.9 MW, the solar park, equipped with 26,800 modules, is expected to generate about 18,325 MWh of electricity per year, which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption (including heating and domestic hot water) of around 4,462 households (based on an average consumption of 4,246 kWh/year/household). Additionally, the project will help avoid the release of 4,604 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per year compared to the 2022 French electricity mix (data from ADEME).

The project is currently carried out by OMEXOM, a brand of VINCI Energies, specializing in energy infrastructure.

The financing details of this PV project are as follows:

- Sainte Elyx 15.9MW (749X+W7P Saint-Ely-le-Chateaux, France): Financing secured on Feburary 7, 2025, by Arkea Bank.
