AIKO, a leading renewable energy solutions provider and the inventor of high-efficiency ABC technology, has announced a strategic partnership with Greenline Energy to develop the Pilalistra solar farm, also known as the Seli Project in Greece(40.5038°N, 21.9704°E). This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the region's transition to sustainable energy sources.
The Seli Project is an ambitious initiative that includes the construction of a 309 MW photovoltaic unit, complemented by an integrated lithium-ion battery storage system with a capacity of 350 MWh. This hybrid power plant aims to enhance energy reliability and efficiency, leveraging AIKO’s cutting-edge ABC technology to ensure a stable and sustainable power supply.
The project is set to be installed in Seli, within the regional unit of Imathia, in northern Greece. This strategic location was chosen for its optimal solar exposure and infrastructure potential, making it an ideal site for large-scale renewable energy production. The development of the Seli Project is currently underway, spearheaded by Rasine Heliake Energy Athenas Single Member LTD, a subsidiary of the AgroGroup Bozatzidis-Mitsiolidis.
This partnership between AIKO and Greenline Energy underscores the growing importance of renewable energy in meeting global sustainability goals. By combining their expertise and resources, the two companies aim to set a new standard for renewable energy projects, demonstrating the potential for large-scale solar and storage solutions to transform energy landscapes. As the Seli Project progresses, it is expected to contribute significantly to Greece's renewable energy portfolio, reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy security.
The financing details of this PV project are as follows:
Pilalistra solar farm(Seli Project): 309MW (Imathia Regional Unit, Central Macedonia, Greece). Financing secured on May 1, 2025, by Alpha Bank.
