EESL Issues Tender for 20 MW of Rooftop Solar Systems in hra PradeshTags£ºRooftop Solar  India  pv tender

The Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has issued a tender for 20 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects. These rooftop systems will be installed atop various buildings in hra Pradesh.

According to the tender document, the systems will be installed under the RESCO model. The solar project capacities have been divided into three packages.

Under package 1, the maximum capacity to be offered is 8 MW, 10 MW under package II, 2 MW under package III. However, the capacity offered under each package may vary depending on the open roof area, states the tender document.

The last day for the submission of bids is March 18, 2020. Interested bidders need to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) according to the respective package. For package-1, the bidders need to submit a sum of ₹915,2000 (~$124,112), ₹10.4million (~$141,036) for package-II, ₹1.94 million (~$26,308) for package III.

The scope of work includes the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, operation maintenance of the rooftop power projects on a turnkey basis.

The successful bidder will be responsible for the supply of solar PV modules consisting of the required number of crystalline PV modules, a grid-interactive power conditioning unit with remote monitoring structures, a comprehensive onsite maintenance warranty for 25 years.

As far as the technical specifications stards for solar PV modules are concerned, all the components must match the India  n Stard or International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) stard.

According to the EESL, PV modules containing silicon must be used. Each of these modules must be rated for a minimum of 325 W with 72 cells. The efficiency of the PV modules should be a minimum of 16%, the fill factor should be more than 75%. The PV modules should be supplied with a suitable aluminum frame.

Previously, EESL issued a tender to procure 100 MW of solar modules (325W above) for the state of Maharashtra. As reported previously by Mercom, the EESL hadfloated a tenderto install 100 MW of solar power generating systems in Maharashtra in June 2019.

Recently, it alsofloated an invitationfor bids to construct power evacuation bays transmission lines for nearly 300 MW of solar projects in the state of Maharashtra.

EESL is a joint venture of the public-sector units of the Ministry of Power the Government of India.
